O-Town Sent Messages To Fans And Thanked Them Also

O-Town sent out a message to members of their street team saying “What’s going on, everybody? We are all very excited. We’ve been in the studio working very hard writing, recording and producing this album that we’ve pushed back so many times”.

“The songs that we’re coming out of the studio with are crazy and we can’t wait for you guys to hear it. However, we did push the album back one last time to mid October.”

“Believe it or not, even though we have no music out right now, we’re still really busy. The traveling has been just as intense because we’ve been all over the country working with producers and doing one off shows.”

They thanked their fans as well by saying “Thank you so much for the support without any material in the market. We owe this new album to you all the truly loyal fans.”

Despite Protests, Madonna’s ‘Swept Away’ Will Be Shown In Cinemas

The Chicago Sun-Times reports that despite rumored feelings from Sony Pictures’ Screen Gems division that Madonna’s new film ‘Swept Away’ should have been released straight to video, the Material Girl’s clout overpowered those arguments and forced a traditional theatrical release.

Now, it’s said the movie is slated to hit theaters on the 11th of October.

If you ask me, if the movie does get released, it’s just for the money then, banking on Madonna’s name. Critics have panned the film so much which was why it was initially decided to head immediately to video. It’s that bad a movie.

S Club Juniors Get Kylie-Like Song

If you thought S Club Juniors are a waste of time and effort, singing songs they have nothing to know about, people are now saying that their third single ‘New Direction’ is not so bad, as it may sound a little bit like Kylie’s ‘Can’t Get You Out Of My Head’ since it comes from a certain Ms Dennis.

However, while the Kylie’s chart smash was brought to us by former popster Cathy, ‘New Direction’ has been penned by her sister, Georgia.

The single, which has a Bollywood-like theme reportedly when you do catch the video, is also due to appear on their forthcoming debut album of the same name, both of which are due around October.

Meanwhile, their seniors, S Club, release their new single, ‘Alive’, on the 11th of November.

Ronan Keating Pities Britney And Reveals He Was A Bad Singer

Associated Press reports Ronan Keating has compassion for Britney Spears, who he sees as a victim of the media.

“I never liked being famous” he explained. “People are making downright chivvies on Popstars or Pop Idol. And, right now, it’s Britney Spears’s turn.”

“What can I say? I’m really sorry for her.”

Now that he’s reduced his own public profile from his Boyzone days, Ronan says “I’m actually pretty happy about it.”

He acknowledged that as a student, he got kicked out of the school’s choir. “I do admit it. I was a very bad singer, and probably didn’t hit any note right.”

On the question to if he ever met his music teacher again, he answered “No, but I’m sure he’s cracking up when he thinks about how my performance were back then.”

Gareth Gates Panicked When Luggage Got Lost

Pop Idol runner-up, Gareth Gates was flying back home to Bradford from Norway for his homecoming gig when he discovered his luggage vanished.

“The airline told him his suitcase had gone to another airport” he publicist told a magazine. “There was a mad panic because it contained all his outfits, including his favourite leather shirt.

“Luckily, his stylist sent another outfit up in the car and he managed to get ready just in time.”

Crazy People Rock Scott Cain

Will Young’s Australian equivalent, Scott Cain has revealed and released his sophomore single, ‘Crazy People Rock’, and it’s yet another infectious pop groove, penned by the infamous songwriting duo Gregg Alexander & Rick Nowels, that is sure to get the feet tapping! Well, at least according to critics.

Gregg and Rick are of course the people who gave you my favorite song of all time, ‘You Get What You Give’ and they also penned Scott’s first single ‘I’m Moving On’.

‘Crazy People Rock’ was produced by Michael Szumowski, who has produced Disco Montego and Bardot’s last album of late. The single also features remixes of ‘Crazy People Rock’ by Supafly and Wok Institution along with a new song from Scott called ‘On The Dance Floor’.

Mandy Moore’s Response To Controversial Photo Shoot

After dozens of posts concerning her Blender photo shoot, Mandy Moore responded in an angry and frustrated tone at some of the criticism.

Mandy sighed “Man…. posts like this make me kinda say…’Oh give it up!’ First of all, Blender is NOT a men’s magazine. It doesn’t say anything about it being so on the cover. So, it’s owned by the same people who run Maxim… big deal. The same photographer who shot my picture in People mag’s 50 Most Beautiful shot these photos.”

“I am not going to justify me doing the shoot, because I don’t feel I need to. I happen to really like the pictures. So the dress is a bit shorter that anything I have been photographed in before. It’s not like I am in some cut-off belly baring shirt and booty shorts” she said.

“Just look at the headshot inside. How is that overly sexy? Guys, you’re going to have to trust me a bit more. If I say I’m not comfy posing in such and such, I am not going to. Period. I am not contradicting myself at all. No one makes me wear anything I don’t want to. I choose to wear it because I liked it. It’s something I would wear out on a night on the town.”

There’s Something Not Fakey About t.A.T.u

The press recently spoke with producer Trevor Horn who worked on t.A.T.u.’s new album ‘200 km/h In The Wrong Lane’, and in the past worked on ‘Video Killed The Radio Star’ by The Buggles, ‘Relax’ by Frankie Goes To Hollywood, ‘Kiss from a Rose’ by Seal and other sparkling songs.

Asked if the teen lesbian duo’s ‘All The Things She Said’ accomplish something similar, he said, “Well, I mean, I’ve got absolutely no idea. But, I’m quite fond of ‘All The Things She Said’. I really really love it.”

“I think it’s a nice record especially if you listen to it all the way through. It sort of grows. And, it’s good. It’s a nice record. What’s around these days is kind of a bit ‘fakey.’ There’s something ‘not fakey’ about t.A.T.u. and about what the song’s about.”

Abs Unaware Of Impending Five Split, Dating Sugababe’s Heidi

Capital FM in London recently chatted with former Five star Abs Breen and asked him what led to the group splitting up and what he’s been doing since then.

“It was a bit of a shock when the band split” he said. “I got a phone call from our manager who said ‘Don’t bother turning up for work tomorrow since you know, no one else is'”.

“And for two months I did nothing apart from watching telly, shows like ‘Tricia’, soaps, game shows and eating my favourite, Coco Pops. I was basically a typical man. A couch potato, you know. Then some producers I’d worked with in Five contacted me and suggested I work with them again, which was lucky because I had only started getting bored and wanted something to do, desperately.”

Meanwhile, The Sun reports former Five star Abs Breen is now dating Heidi Range of the Sugababes. “She’s really nice. I get on great with her.” Abs told the reporters there. “I met her in a club when she had just joined Sugababes. A few months later we bumped into each other again and just hit it off.”

Darius Says Pop Idol Is A BMG Marketing Entity

Pop Idol contestant Darius Danesh is making the charge that the show was geared towards Gareth Gates becoming the winner.

“We all recorded ‘Evergreen’ and ‘Anything Is Possible’ for the final. I did them too but they weren’t even in my vocal range. They were written for Gareth’s voice and Will was unhappy with that.”

“Will asked Simon Cowell if he could have them rearranged into keys we could all sing and Simon just brushed him off” said Darius.

He concluded “Sadly the program is a marketing entity which served the purpose of fulfilling BMG’s needs.”
