Rihanna And Her Celebrity Legs Of A Goddess

Pop starlet Rihanna certainly seems to be one of the most favourite stars in the UK at the moment. Not only did she soar to number 1 on the UK singles charts based on downloads alone, but she’s kept the top sport for 4 consecutive weeks. And this weekend the Barbados-born 19-year-old’s third album, Good Girl Gone Bad, entered the UK Album Chart straight in at number one!

Meanwhile, those legs of hers have also taken top spot – Rihanna has won Venus leg razor’s ‘Celebrity Legs of a Goddess’ award. Check out those award winning pegs in her Umbrella Video next:

Rihanna Takes Top Spot And Makes History

R&B singer Rihanna has made it to the top of the UK Charts, and has made history doing so. The Barbados-born babe, who was busy performing at Radio One’s Big Weekend in Preston this weekend, scored the success with her single “Umbrella”. What’s special about this achievement is that the single hasn’t even gone on sale in physical format yet – the single is due to be released in stores next week (28th May). However, download sales for this track have been so strong that she was able to knock McFly from the top spot and soar to number 1 on downloads alone. This is the very first time that this has been done since rules changed to make downloads eligible for the chart. What a success story!

Rhianna Thinks S Club Juniors Will Become Brats

Rhianna Kenny, who has been described by some to be another Kylie Minogue, recently revealed that she thinks S Club Juniors will become spoilt brats once they are much older, when she was asked by the press if she thought it was important to start out young in the music industry.

She said “It isn’t important at all. You can start off anytime. Too young and it isn’t good. I see the S Club Juniors and I think they’re going to be right brats by the time they’re 17 or something. And you’ve got to be really strong to be in this kind of environment. It can break you this industry.”Meanwhile, Rhianna, who releases her awesome sounding ‘I Love Every Little Thing About You’ on the 10th of Februaury, said that she was really glad that she learnt how the business and the whole music industry worked by constantly hanging around with her brother and his band, LSK. “When I was fifteen, I’d go on tour with them when I was still at school. I learnt how it was like in this business. I am glad to have watched what my brother did and all that.”

“And I know my brother’s really proud. It’s one of those things, your parents or siblings won’t tell you they’re proud, but then they’ll go and tell all and sing your praises to their friends. In a way it’s really good because they don’t blow my ego.”

Rhianna And Her Shopping Weakness

Rhianna revealed what brands she love to wear, while speaking to reporters.

“I love Alexander McQueen, Escada, Gucci and Issey Miyake” said the striking girl.

“Their cuts, the fabrics, their bags and shoes just make me go wild. I’d just spend and spend and spend like a shopoholic.”

“You know, I think that makes me one doesn’t it?”

Rhianna’s Sophomore Number

The sophomore single belonging to a gifted talent, Rhianna, will be entitled ‘Word Love’ and it’s due to drop into outlets on the 26th of August. It’ll be a follow-up single to the Top 20 hit ‘Oh Baby’.

The appealing young woman will be facing oppositions from the likes of Ms Dynamite, Tweet, Pink, Anastacia, Nickelback, all of whom also release their songs on the same day!

Rhianna has already filmed the video and left a message on her official message board stating “The video was enormously draining, a lot of boogying and leaping around. The costumes are worth waiting for on their own. You should see it on the tv in about three weeks. Can’t wait to see it myself. The single will be released on 2 CDs and DVD, featuring mixes by ‘Jay’, ‘Pound Boys’ and ‘4Hero'”.

Meanwhile, in other Rhianna-related affairs, she’s set to appear alongside MC Harvey, Shy FX, Adam F and DJ Hype at this year’s Urban Music Seminar, due to take place at London’s Royal Festival Hall on 7th and 8th of September.

The Urban Music Seminar is the only event of its kind to bring the movers and shakers of the UK urban music scene together, to help tell young people how they might smash into the music business. More than 15,000 aspiring artists are expected to listen to newsworthy seminars with records and PR companies and accountants.

Ooh Rhianna!

You may have heard of a song that keeps getting played tons a lot on radio these days and it might just be the debut single from Rhianna. If it is, then chances are you might have also caught a glimpse of the video for her feel-good first single ‘Oh Baby’, presently on near-permanent rotation on MTV.

Hailing from Leeds, Rhianna whose full name’s, Rhianna Kenny, is a 19 year old singer/songwriter who mixes up R&B, funk and pure pop into a tasty new groove. The track is a portion of cool R&B/pop beats, written around an obscure funk loop from the ’70s by Tony Valor.

Rhianna, whose big, bold hair and wicked grin makes it pretty impossible to hate the lady, reckons her virgin cut is a rather positive song, saying “I’d had a few week’s hard time and I was feeling a bit down, so I wrote the song to cheer myself up.”

Watch out too for Rhianna’s debut album, due out in autumn 2002. The 10-track venture will include ‘Oh Baby’ of course and her next single ‘Word Love’, described by the star as “another feel-good song with a big dance-funk influence, a real summer single”. Also included is ‘Justify’ which, according to her, is “a slow song with plenty of atmosphere and live strings”.

Seemingly cooler than Macy Gray, she says that she can’t really be bothered by what people say of her. “Sticking two fingers up to fashion has always appealed. I’m like ‘take it or leave it’,” she says. “If you don’t like it, then just leave me alone.”

Her single’s out on the 20th of May so be sure you go get it. Visit the striking Rhianna at her authorized homepage, humbly located at: www.rhiannamusic.com
