ContactMusic.com reports that JC Chasez is more impressed with his animated portrayal in the Valentine’s Day episode of What’s New Scooby Doo than his 2001 appearance along with his N’Sync bandmates on The Simpsons.
“I’ve seen it The Simpsons way and I have to say, the Scooby Doo way was animated a little bit better,” JC Chasez, who’s working on his sophomore LP said. “They did a better job. It was really cool. On ‘The Simpsons’, you end up looking like a cousin of the Simpsons. I loved the cartoon as a kid. My favorite character is Shaggy, which is pretty funny, because in the story, him and I beef a little bit. I thought, ‘That’s fun. I get to play an enemy to probably my favorite character.’ It’s pretty hilarious to see how people act in front of the microphones while they’re doing these voices, because you have to create characteristics just through your voice. In order to exaggerate your vocal even more, you exaggerate your actions more as well, so people look pretty funny.”
Desperate Housewives star Eva Longoria and rumoured boyfriend N’Sync star JC Chasez, among other stars, were on hand at Opium Garden for their annual New Year’s Eve Party in Miami, Florida. Check out pictures HERE.
Liz Smith of The New York Post is hearing a hot rumor out of Los Angeles that Justin Timberlake will interpret Elvis Presley in a Miramax stage venture, to be titled All Shook Up.
Justin’s people say “absolutely no way” and Miramax didn’t return Liz Smith’s phone calls.
Liz writes, “Justin Timberlake has admitted to admiring the late legend, but it is unlikely he’d want to draw comparisons in an impersonation. And at this point even the most sincere Presley imitation comes off like parody. That said, I think Justin would be an excellent ’50s-era Elvis.”
LL Cool J spoke with MTV News about working on Edison with Justin Timberlake, Morgan Freeman and Kevin Spacey.
“It’s my most dramatic role,” he said in the movie where he plays a police officer who has to make some serious choices in his life and career.
“It was the most challenging role I’ve ever had. Working with Morgan and Kevin and just being around people like that was a blessing for me. It’s kinda like being in the NBA and being in two or three years and getting to play in the all-star game with the best people in the league. It was amazing.” LL added, “Justin is incredible, we had a lot of fun. We talked about a lot of things on the set, hung out.”
In Touch Weekly reports Justin Timberlake and Lance Bass’ relationship may have turned frosty after the two avoided each other when they both attended a pool party in the Hollywood Hills recently. “They didn’t acknowledge each other,” a source revealed.
“And they wouldn’t go into the pool at the same time.”
Another source speculated Lance’s jealousy over Mr Senorita’s solo success as the cause of the friction. “Lance always thought he was the best singer in the group and definitely not helium voiced Justin,” reasoned the source.
The press recentl spoke with N’Sync star JC Chasez about his forthcoming solo debut.
“I’ve kind of covered the whole scope,” said JC of the album.
“I’ve done dance-type stuff mixed with retro ’80s stuff, mixed with R&B/hip-hop stuff.”
As for the inevitable comparisons to bandmate Justin Timberlake’s solo effort, the lad says, “That guy’s a superstar. I’m just going to do my thing.”
Justin Timberlake recently threw a diva-esque tantrum when he appeared on Ant and Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway two weeks ago after the show rolled the credits over his new single ‘Cry Me A River’.
“He really let rip in the green room afterwards. It was hilarious,” an ITV1 insider said. “He was ranting on and shouting about how there was no point in him even being there. He said he’d never go on Ant and Dec’s show again.”
“All the people he was with looked quite embarrassed and were trying to calm him down. When he finally flounced off everyone had a laugh at his expense.”
Now that his video ‘Blowin’ Me Up (With Her Love)’ has become a staple for those TRL fans on MTV for the past 2 months, what else is new in the JC Chasez camp?
He is currently recording in Los Angeles with Grammy Award winning producer-songwriter Dallas Austin (TLC, Madonna, Boyz II Men), BT (Sarah McLachlan re-mix, Tori Amos), Riprock and Alex G (N’Sync, Christina Aguilera) and Rodney Jerkins (Britney Spears, Whitney Houston, Mary J. Blige).
JC Chasez’s album, untitled as yet, is expected in stores come somewhere in July.
Singer of the Michael Jackson-esque ‘Like I Love You’ and the latest ‘Cry Me A River’ that’s not supposed to be about Britney, Justin Timberlake recently let slip that he has a fetish for women wearing boy/men’s underwear.
Justin recently confessed, “I love mens underwear. They’re getting lovelier and I find it’s really sexy when girls wear us boys’ underpants.”
Meanwhile, he is in trouble with Britney’s family for causing them grief by always dropping Britney’s name and trying to cash in on their messy split by constantly talking about it to the press at all times.
“He’s not very popular with the family now and I don’t think he will ever be. Us all are really hurt by Justin’s treachery. Absolutely no regard for our feelings and Britney’s. We hate his guts. We turn the TV set off when he comes on. See, we treated him like family and he had to go do this. He’s such a jerk. Stop hurting my sister.” Britney’s brother, Brian, revealed.
Are Underground remixes bring pop artists more credibility or underground artists and place to stand in more commerical areas? Its a difficult question. One of the latest plundering remixes to hit the web is an offering from an Australian artist, Dsico, whose mixes have recently been mentioned in Rolling Stone Magazine and even Entertainment Weekly.
Its difficult to understand why these often obnoxious renderings might be popular, the latest remix is no exception. Its a jarring and distorted remix of the latest no.1 single by Justin Timberlake “Like I Love You”. Try it for your self here.
