Mariah Carey’s Book To Be A Cartoon?

Apparently, a new children’s book written by Mariah Carey could become an animated TV series.

Mariah’s illustrated book is about a bi-racial orphan girl who eventually makes it in the big city. Personally, I find that it all sounds a tad to familiar….

Mariah’s agent said “It’s something she’s worked on without the help of ghostwriters. She has a whole idea based on her bi-racial heritage. She thinks there will be a huge audience.”

Meanwhile, it’s reported that the singer is working on new material which could be out by the end of the year.

Faith Evans And P Diddy’s Bad Boy Records Part Ways

It’s been reported that Faith Evans is no longer part of P Diddy’s Bad Boy Records. She has made it clear in the past that she wanted out since she felt they weren’t doing enough for her.

P Diddy was reported as saying “I’m glad that Faith Evans is doing what she feels is right and may she continue to make sweet music. I do wish her the best and that she remains happy.”

Faith has signed with Capitol Records, home to Chingy. If all goes as planned, she will put out an album later this year.

Mandy Moore To Start Work On New Album

Mandy Moore has signed with Sire Records, the Warner Bros. imprint whose roster includes the Distillers, the Von Bondies and Hot Hot Heat, she told Reuters on Friday. Moore said she has started writing songs for her new album, but does not yet know how it will sound.

In some ways, Moore said she felt pressure following up an album featuring “11 or 12 of the best songs out there,” with a set of her own music. On the other hand, “I have no expectations, and people out there really have no expectations because I haven’t had great musical success. So that allows me the freedom and creativity to do whatever I want.”
