Goo Goo Dolls Goes Disney

The Goo Goo Dolls have had some of their most successful songs come out of movies, so it’s not a big leap to see frontman John Rzeznik writing children’s music for an upcoming Disney film.

John wrote two songs for the animated film ‘Treasure Planet’.

“It was really interesting to watch them put together this really elaborate, animated thing. And then put your two cents into it. It was a lot of fun. I was really proud that I got to do it”.

“It’s a little bit different. It’s not as show-tuney as that. But they’re songs for kids” John said.

Goo Goo Dolls And The Gutterflower

The Goo Goo Dolls’ return is just over a month away, with latest album ‘Gutterflower’ arriving in stores on the 9th of April.

Goo Goo Dolls’ front man John Rzeznik says that he’s extremely thrilled with what kind of tracks the band, which also includes Robby Takac and Mike Malinin, has come up with and is now getting ready to bring it to the fans. “It’s a little more aggressive than the last record, a little moodier, but it turned out really good,” he says. “We worked with (producer Rob) Cavallo on this one, and that was a lot of fun so we’re just hoping for the best. We’re also going to go on tour for the next two years and hopefully sell many records.”‘Gutterflower’ is the follow-up to their previous hit album from way back in 1998, ‘Dizzy Up The Girl’ which spawned the massive number ‘Iris’. So what exactly is the very first single? Well, it’s ‘Here Is Gone’ and it’s all set to arrive at radio stations really soon.
