The New York Daily News reports Brandy was supposed to meet with “crisis manager” Dyanna Williams after ex “husband” Robert Smith claimed their marriage was a sham, but backed out.

She also bailed out of a half dozen interviews in New York and flew to Los Angeles. She’s basically hiding in her home and is refusing to come out.

Courtney Barnes, one of the singer’s handlers, argues Brandy “postponed” the Q&As to prepare for a video shoot.

“Brandy isn’t in hiding. She’s preparing for the video to her next single. You guys will see her soon.”

Brandy, Cindy Margolis, Jessica Alba, Kelly Rowland of Destiny’s Child, Eva Mendes, Ludacris, Matthew McConaughey, Paul Walker, Shemar Moore, and Tyrese were amongst the stars on hand for the world premiere of 2 Fast 2 Furious.

In other Brandy-related news, expect her 4th album to hit the shops by late summer, with the first single to be issued in August time.

Brandy’s husband Robert Smith spoke recently to a webzine about how the couple has been helping write songs for other artists, including Toni Braxton and Destiny’s Child member Kelly Rowland.

“Brandy writes on pretty much everything I do” Robert said. “She’s an incredible writer. Basically, she just found out. She just tapped into it, from just playing around, you know, with me.”

“In essence, I was like, ‘You’re majorly talented.’ She’s just an incredible writer. She’s remarkable.”

Brandy Norwood seemed to have it all, but secretly she was struggling to live up to the perfect image she portrayed on ‘Moesha’.

Her TV dad William Allen Young, knew Brandy was dangerously close to the edge. “I would see that she was tired… I think she felt responsible for carrying the show ‘Moesha’. To the point that, if it wasn’t right, she would exhaust herself to make sure that it was” he tells a journalist.

Also, Brandy apparently got so close to making herself go crazy with the constant dieting just to be thin and be accepted.

“True, many people in the industry are thin and slim but if you are not, you shouldn’t try to make yourself be thin. Proper ways, yes but not going to the extent of vomiting your food out and all that.”

Brandy and her producer Mike City are preparing to begin work on for a new album.

“We’ll probably will be back in the studio soon, hopefully” Mike said.

“We’ve already talked about going back in. We might do a soundtrack or something. It’s been tossed up in the air. I know her husband Robert Smith is going to work on a lot of the album. I’ll come and do a few songs.”

After months of speculation, R&B star Brandy has finally revealed that she is indeed a Mrs. The star has married a producer/songwriter who responds to the name of Robert Smith during the summer of 2001.

In a statement regarding the hush-hush marriage, the singer/actress who just turned 23 and celebrated her birthday a while back, says “I’ve fallen in love with a very warm, gentle, understanding and focused person. That summer we married quietly. A new experience, a new day for me.” Speaking earlier this year, she had only offered a “maybe” when quizzed if she had gotten engaged.

Smith’s work credits include working with Michael Jackson and the Spice Girls.The announcement comes as Brandy, looking hotter than ever before, prepares to release ‘Full Moon’, her first album in four years, on 5th March 2002. The first single off ‘Full Moon’ is the really catchy ‘What About Us?’, a track that I would give 3.5 stars out of 5. If you’ve never heard it yet, well, it really isn’t like anything that’s played on the radio airwaves nowadays. In an exclusive interview for USA Today, the one half of the ‘Boy Is Mine’ star talks about she decided to take a whole different approach when it came to making this latest effort of hers. “I wanted to make it as edgy as possible. I used my voice as an instrument more on this record than I ever have before.”
