Do Something Director Upset With Britney Spears

Music video director Billie Woodruff is upset with Britney Spears after the singer’s latest mesage to fans referred to him as “a young, hungry, director” putting together her Do Something promo.

Billie Woodruff, who certainly isn’t young, and given his previous work with the Backstreet Boys, Outkast, TLC, and others, including Britney herself on Overprotected, isn’t “hungry” either.

“He was very hurt by her statements,” a close friend said. “She has called him several times since the posting but he does not want to speak with her.”

Girls Aloud Edits New Single

Sky News reports that Girls Aloud’s controversial new single Wake Me Up has been banned on children’s television because of its boozy lyrics. It instead will be edited to remove the references to drinking.

“It’s not long before the track kicks in and Sarah Harding is singing about drinking Bud, which is obviously beer,” a source said.

“Then Cheryl Tweedy wonders whether ‘it’s just the margaritas’ or ‘is a bloke looking at her?’. They’re all grown up women but they understand a lot of young girls admire them and they would never want to encourage under-age drinking.”

Ms Dynamite Promotes Judgement Day

Ms Dynamite is back, folks.

She recently promoted a track called Judgement Day on radio and it will be featured on her upcoming new album, which is due out in the first half of this year.

Ms Dynamite told BBC Radio One what she’s been up to. “Since everyone last saw me, I’ve been being a mum, which I’ve really, really enjoyed.”

“I’m really glad that I’ve taken time out with my son. I love him so much.”

“But, I’m at a stage now where’s he’s becoming more independent, and going to nursery now.”

“I feel totally comfortable with coming back to work and I’m dying to get back on the stage to sing, perform and get back out there.”

Naomi Campbell Still Loves Usher?

The New York Daily News reports that Naomi Campbell was telling pals last week that she and Usher are still together and very much in love. The supermodel even said she’ll be in Los Angeles later this month to pose with him at a cover shoot for Italy’s L’Uomo Vogue.

But Usher has personally nixed her involvement, according to a source. “Usher is scheduled to do the cover,” his representative confirmed. “They offered it to him as a solo cover.”

Changes In Store For American Idol 2005

Ryan Seacrest spoke with Entertainment Tonight about changes in season four about American Idol.

“I’m most excited about splitting up the guys and girls,” he said. “I think it really adds to the competitive edge of the show. Having guys compete on one night and girls compete on another night, eliminating those, and having the contestants that make it through appear on the show each and every week all the way to the end is probably the change I’m most excited about.”

Fox begins the season with a two-hour special on January 18 as well as a one-hour episode on the 19th. Read more and watch a video clip here.
