Paul Oakenfold, Nelly Furtado And Tricky On An Amazing Fresh Track

With his already immense profile swelling by the day, it was important that Paul Oakenfold came up with a seriously good record, and he did it in the shape of ‘Bunkka’.

Unsurprisingly, a plethora of guest voices litter the set, including Canadian songbird Nelly Furtado and the original Bristolian music man, Tricky, who both lend their distinctive vocal styles to the third single off the album entitled ‘The Harder They Come’.

The track is very well done and is very refreshing. ‘The Harder They Come’ should be out in stores already.

George Thorogood & The Destroyers “Ride ‘Til I Die” – New Release

(NYC) George Thorogood and the Destroyers ‘Ride ’til I Die’ marks the release of their 11th Album GT&D’s First with Eagle Records.

The release of Ride ’til I Die will take place on March 24 in Europe and March 25 in The USA. The Band will kick off the 2003 touring season with 2 shows in Lake Tahoe on March 14, and March 15. This will be followed by a live broadcast from the Rockline Studios in LA on March 19, the broadcast will air on all Rockline affiliated stations.

Imagine never having heard a single song by George Thorogood & The Destroyers. As improbable as that may be, the band suggests you impose that mindset as you sit down to listen to their eleventh studio album, ‘Ride ’til I Die’, their first on Eagle Records. From the day they began playing their rough and tumble blues based rock back in Wilmington, Delaware, Thorogood and his cohorts have made a point to keep it basic, keep it simple, and above all, keep it fun. Twenty five years later, with the release of ‘Ride ’til I Die’, they’re justifiably proud of having done just that, though this time around they’ve added some new wrinkles that even die hard fans will find both surprising and intriguing. The title underscores George’s philosophy about performing the music that has become his life’s work, but by no means does he consider it to be anything but a work in progress. ‘I’m having a better time now than ever before’, laughs Thorogood. ‘I may be 50, but I’m still kickin’ it and don’t even want to think about stopping.’

Melanie B And Daughter Unglamorous In Goa, India

Mel B recently took a break in Goa, India, with daughter Phoenix Chi, 3, and a friend’s child.

The singer was spotted in a bikini looking totally unfit and appeared to have put on a few pounds which caused a stunned onlooker to say, “Mel looked daft wearing a bikini that size. Her figure is more like Mel C’s old frame. She was looking very unglamorous.”

“But I have to say she and Phoenix really looked happy playing in the sea.”

Unknown Eartha Moore Competes For Best R&B Vocals With Ashanti, Aaliyah

Now here’s a puzzler. The nominees for Best Female R&B Vocal Performance for the upcoming Grammys includes a singer that hardly anybody has heard of. Her name’s Eartha and her song ‘I’m Still Standing’ will be competing with those released by Ashanti, Mary J Blige, Jill Scott and Aaliyah.

You could try doing a search for Eartha Moore on popular search engine, Google and you only get 7 matches. No official site can even be found.

Billboard R&B editor Gail Mitchell says she finds the selections curious, considering Eartha’s low sales and airplay. “Eartha had an so-so record, but for something to get picked that people were so unaware of is mind-boggling” says Gail.

But apparently celebrities know who Eartha is and many of them have been heard gushing about how talented and gifted Eartha Moore is. One of them is fellow competitor Ashanti who said “She’s so cool and gifted. Her voice is so special. I’m really happy to be nominated alongside Eartha.”

Eartha’s album, ‘Sidebars’ is out in stores now.

Emma Bunton Spotted Kissing Girlfriend

Ex-Spice Girl Emma Bunton enjoyed a night out with a blonde gal pal, and shocked all present by giving the blondie a steamy full-on lip-lock.

Baby Spice was at a party thrown by Justin Timberlake at a London club.

A partier at the club revealed, “Emma started snogging her pal. It wasn’t like a mere peck on the cheek or one of those air kisses ok. They were really, and I mean, REALLY, going for it.”

Meanwhile, Emma Bunton is said to be making a comeback to the world of mainstream music by releasing her brand new single, rumoured to be one called ‘Free Me’ sometime in April. Thing is, she has not signed onto a label yet so nothing’s really confirmed.

“They both look alike. It’s weird actually” the 17 year old popster said.

She also went on to disclose how Vanessa Carlton changed her appearance to set herself apart from rival Michelle Branch.

“I heard she cut her bangs just because everyone thought she looked like that Michelle Branch. I mean she does look like her but I guess with those bangs off, she doesn’t anymore” Avril said.
