Pop Idol victor Will Young has landed his first movie role in a raunchy nude musical called Mrs. Henderson Presents. It also features Dame Judi Dench and Bob Hoskins.
“Will really impressed the production company. He isn’t just a brilliant singer, he is also a capable actor,” a movie insider revealed.
“It would be a dream for Will to star alongside stars like Judi Dench and he is really keen to finalize the negotiations.”
Nick Carter has spoken out about his split from girlfriend Paris Hilton, complaining the pair couldn’t trust each other.
Speaking exclusively to America’s People magazine, the 1/5 of Backstreet Boys insists the split was mutual, despite his socialite ex’s claims she called the romance off after advice from a psychic.
Nick says, “Our relationship totally was based on distrust. She didn’t trust me. I didn’t trust her. We both got on the phone, had a discussion and agreed we couldn’t do this anymore. I just want everybody to know that I’m single and ready to have fun again. I’m a wild and crazy guy.”

Delta Goodrem will release her 2nd album in November after recording several final tracks in Britain.
After describing her new-found level of energy, which is precious to the 19 year old vocalistress of songs like Innocent Eyes, given her battle with Hodgkin’s disease, said her new CD was likely to be released in four months.
Not only has she been busy recording new tracks in London, Delta Goodrem has also enjoyed a few local dance classes-just for the fun of it.

Liz Smith of The New York Post is hearing a hot rumor out of Los Angeles that Justin Timberlake will interpret Elvis Presley in a Miramax stage venture, to be titled All Shook Up.
Justin’s people say “absolutely no way” and Miramax didn’t return Liz Smith’s phone calls.
Liz writes, “Justin Timberlake has admitted to admiring the late legend, but it is unlikely he’d want to draw comparisons in an impersonation. And at this point even the most sincere Presley imitation comes off like parody. That said, I think Justin would be an excellent ’50s-era Elvis.”
Female rapper, Eve was asked in an interview the kind of food she loves.
She said “I seem to have developed a taste for spicy food. I love Indian food these days. It’s lovely. To die for. An aphrodisiac some say. Mexican too. I am always asking for spicy food. It’s hot.”
In the meantime, Eve says she is still finalizing the final cuts to make her new album and should release her first single later in the year.
Sky News reports that Jamelia is in line for a guest appearance in the Australian soap Neighbours.
“Yes, I have been approached,” she said.
“My track, Superstar has become massive over there and I don’t know, I am thinking about it. It would be fun.”
Jay Z and his Destiny’s Child girlfriend Beyonce Knowles led the pack when nominations for the 2004 MTV Video Music Awards were announced on Tuesday morning.
Mr Encore got six nods, Beyonce, along with No Doubt, Usher and Outkast got five each.
Britney Spears, Kanye West, Steriogram, White Stripes and the Yeah Yeah Yeahs all notched four nominations, while Black Eyed Peas, Alicia Keys, D12, Jet and Modest Mouse scored three.
Christina Aguilera, Franz Ferdinand, Hoobastank, Jessica Simpson, Maroon 5, Missy Elliott, the Darkness and Yellowcard also head into the show with multiple nominations.
Hoobastank, Usher and Kanye West are among those scheduled to perform when the MTV VMA 2004 takes place in Miami come August 29.
