Hazel Kaneswaren Gives Birth To Baby Boy

Pregnant Popstars reject Hazel Kaneswaren has become a mum. Hazel gave birth to a baby boy weighing 8lbs 4ozs, at a hospital in her hometown of Dublin.

The 25 year old woman became an overnight star after auditioning for TV’s Popstars The Rivals while eight months pregnant.

Hazel said “I’m absolutely exhausted, it was quite a long labour, but I’m absolutely delighted. I’ve got a beautiful, healthy baby boy. It’s all been worth it.”

Her long term partner and father of her son, Bryan, was at the bedside at the National Maternity Hospital.Hazel won an army of admirers, including judges Geri Halliwell and Louis Walsh, when she sang Joan Armatrading’s ‘Love and Affection’ at the Glasgow Auditions in August.

Despite objections from the other judge Pete Waterman, she was chosen to go through to the next round of auditions and made it through to the final 10, five of which will form two rival boy and girl bands.

But the striking Hazel was later booted off the show for being 10 days too old. All the contestants had to be 24 or under on 1st of July.

Hazel later said it was a relief to be out of the girl group and would continue to pursue her dreams of stardom despite becoming a new mum.

“After I have given birth and rested for a few months I’m going to start a solo career,” she said after being rejected from the show.
