The Trouser Enthusiasts have Re-Mixed Gina G, Pet Shop Boys, Dannii, Kylie Minogue, Saint Etienne, Le Click and others. Since their first mixes under this name started appearing in 1996, their sound has just got better and better. In our opinion, they have not released a bad re-mix to date. Their blend of high-energy, ambient, house and trance is truely unique and very uplifting. If you don't believe us, then go out and experience a Trouser Enthusiasts Re-Mix for yourself!

Who Are The Trouser Enthusiasts?
The Trouser Enthusiasts are a duo - the main man behind them is Ian Masterson. As well as a re-mixer he's also a writer and has written for several magazines such as Music Technology. His Trouser Enthusiast partner is thought to be David Green. Although they work under the name "Trouser Enthusiasts" it is believed they also record under the name "Flexifinger". Their first major release came on the 20th March 1996, when Mark Snow released "The X-Files" - the theme tune to the hit TV series. On that CD you'll find the "Terrestrial Mix" - and if you look closely this was mixed and produced by Flexfinger. More recently "Flexifinger" did re-mixes on Dannii's single "Disremembrance" - itself a track written by Ian and David.
As well as writing "Disremembrance" for Dannii and re-mixing a whole host of artists, they have also tried their hand at production and co-production. They co-produced "Somewhere" by the Pet Shop Boys in June 1997 - which was A-listed on radio and peaked at Number 9 in the CIN chart. They also co-produced two tracks on Saint Etienne's latest album - namely "Sylvie" and "Secret Life". In 1997 their reworking of Loveclub's "The Journey" was awarded House Single of the week in Record Mirror. It is for these reasons that it's hard not to get Enthusiastic about The Trouser Enthusiasts!

1 November 1999: "Bullet In The Gun" is a track arranged and mixed by The Trouser Enthusiasts, Mekka and Paul Oakenfold under the name of "Planet Perfecto". And it's got a commercial release in the UK today! The CD Single features the short version of the "Mekka vs Trouser Enthusiasts" Remix. Check it out now - "Bullet In The Gun" by "Planet Perfecto" on Perfecto Records - PERF3CDS.
25 October 1999: "Learning To Fly" by "Mother's Pride" hits the UK stores today as a commercial release. Two CD Singles feature Trouser Enthusiasts remixes - DEVR001CDR features The Trouser Emthusiasts Radio Edit whilst DEVR001CDS features the Trouser Enthusiasts Remix. Both are released on Devolution Recordings.
25 October 1999: Sweet Release has entered the UK Dance charts at number 11 - not bad!
18 October 1999: At last, "Sweet Release" by Trouser Enthusiasts is available in the UK record shops. Available as a limited edition 12" it features 3 re-mixes: Trouser Enthusiasts Full On Mix, Olmec Heads Mix and Trouser Enthusiasts Second Coming. There's no CD-Single or Cassette-Single release at the moment.
11 October 1999: A promo CD Single of "Sweet Release" by Trouser Enthusiasts is now available marked as being "For Promotional Use Only". It's on Delirious Records and has a catalog number of deliCDP15. The single features the Radio Edit.
3 October 1999: Trouser Enthusiasts fans in or around London might like to know that HMV Oxford Circus currently have a limited number of copies of the "Learning To Fly" Double-pack promo 12". The limited edition release 2 x 12" pack features The Trouser Enthusiasts Remix of "Learning To Fly" by "Mother's Pride". The release is available on Devolution Records - Catalogue Number DEVR001DP.
25 September 1999: "Sweet Release" by The Trouser Enthusiasts can be found on the MTV Ibiza Summer 99 Dance Compilation.
18 September 1999: "Sweet Release" by The Trouser Enthusiasts looks set to be released in the UK on October 6.
6 September 1999: The Trouser Enthusiasts remix of Anggun's "Snow on The Sahara" has been released in the UK today. You can find The Trouser Enthusiasts Kangaroo Juice Remix on one of the two-part CD Singles of "Snow On The Sahara". The original version of the track is featured on the Swatch TV Advert.
23 August 1999: The debut single by Teenage group "A Teens" contains the brilliant "Trouser Enthusiasts Undying Dub". A great mix of a great song! Released in the UK today!
20 August 1999: The new Trouser Enthusiasts' Single "Sweet Release" is already out on promo and has been played on several specialist dance shows in the UK. What a tune!

1 August 1999: Great news! The brand new offical Trouser Enthusiasts Website is now available at www.trouserenthusiasts.com!
10 July 1999: We've received word that the so-called Trouser Enthusiasts Remixes of Madonna tracks were in fact false! They've been removed from the discography, shame!
9 June 1999: The Unoffocial Trouser Enthusiasts Homepage is back following several fatal crashes on it's old server. The new URL for the time being is https://www.pop-music.com/trouserenthusiasts
30 November 1998: Kavana's new single "Funky Love" has been released in the UK today. CD2 contains the excellent "Trouser Enthusiasts Pentagram Deathtrap Mix", which has been number one on several club charts throughout England.
29 November 1998: For those interested in joining the Trouser Enthusiasts Mailing List - it will be launched in January 1999.
23 November 1998: The first official release in ages containing a Trouser Enthusiast Remix hits the UK stores today! "Dive featuring Sarah Washington" have released "Joy is free" - 2 CD's are available - on one you can find the "Trouser Enthiusiasts Radio Mix" and on the other you can find the "Trouser Enthusiasts Broken Circle Mix".
19 August 1998: We have had some questions regarding the Madonna remixes, as featured in the Promo Releases section of the Discography. It seems as though there is a Pirate CD available in Australia which features these mixes - if anyone knows where to obtain copies of these mixes in the UK please let us know and we'll post the info!
13 August 1998: The Complete Trouser Enthusiasts Discography has now been split into two parts - one for Official CD Single Releases that were available to the public commercially and the other for "other releases" such as Mixes that were only available on 12" or Cassette, those which were only available on Promo's, those which were only released on albums or were recorded under different names. Please be patient - we have huge number of Releases to add to the "other releases" section (will try and get them all on here by the end of the month) - if you've e-mailed us the details then thanks! There will also be a Mailing List coming up soon, so stay tuned!
13 August 1998: Oooops! A Trouser Enthusiasts Single release passed us by! The CD Single "Sorrow Town" by the group "Peach" was released on Monday 27 July 1998 and featured 2 Trouser Enthusiasts Mixes - namely the "Trouser Enthusiasts Radio Mix" and the "Trouser Enthusiasts Discomedusa Mix". Also the 12" has a Trouser Enthusiasts Teenage Abbatoir Mix. This Single failed to make the UK Top 40 but should still be in shops now.
3 August 1998: The Trouser Enthusiasts have done a re-mix of new single by the band "Trilby". They are signed to ZTT Records (Trevor Horns company) and their debut single is called "Home". There are two TE Re-mixes of "Home", one of which has already been played by BBC Radio One! More info will appear here as soon as I have it!
2 August 1998: If you're a True Trouser Enthusiasts fan (and we know you are!) then you might be interested in obtaining one of the Trouser Enthusiasts Remixes of Sunscreem's "Cover Me". The track is available on a Limited Edition Sunscreen Re-Mix album "Club Anthems" and can be purchased via their website at www.sunscreem.co.uk. This may be the only way to get the Single since Sunscreem's old Record Company closed down a few months ago.
1 August 1998: We've been informed that there are some TE Re-Mixes available of The Divine Comedy's "I've Been To A Marvellous Party". Its only available at the moment on a DJ 12" Double Pack which features the "Trouser Enthusiasts Formaldehyde Spritzer Mix". The catalog number for the doublepack is 12TCBJD 001 and is promo-only. At the moment it looks like the mix won't get released commercially as it wasn't included when the single was released earlier this year.
1 August 1998: The Trouser Enthusiasts have remixed Joy Division's "Love Will Tear Us Apart" for DMC and is available on their DMC House Nation 12". At the moment it's still unknown whether if it will get an official release on Joy Division/New Order's record company - London Records. News will be posted here when we get it!
15 June 1998: "Naked In The Rain '98" has been released in the UK today and the CD Single features 2 Trouser Enthusiasts Re-Mixes!! The track was originally released in the early 1990's but has been brought up to date with mixes by both Rob B and by The Trouser Enthusiasts
9 June 1998: "Looking For Love" by Karen Ramirez is released in the UK today. The Single features the "Trouser Enthusiasts Joy Of Sex Mix".
8 June 1998: "Naked In The Rain '98" is scheduled for a UK release in 2 weeks time on June 15. The Single should feature a Trouser Enthusiasts Remix!
7 June 1998: The new single by Karen Ramirez will possibly feature a TE Remix. The Single should be out later this month, more news will appear here once the details are confirmed.
1 June 1998: The Trouser Enthusiasts remix of the new Byron Stingly single "Testify" has been released in the UK! The Single topped the Record Mirror Dance Charts and features the Trouser Enthusiasts' Passive Resistance Mix. Check it out now.
25 May 1998: The brand new Gloria Estefan single has been released in the UK today! It comes as a two part CD Single set - the "Full Length Club Mixes" CD features the TErreffic Trouser Enthusiasts Neanderthal Thrust Mix. This mix also features on the US CD Maxi Single.
25 April 1998: The Webmaster of this page is currently moving, so there won't be any futher updates or e-mails for another month or so, sorry!
20 April 1998: The Trouser Enthusiasts have re-mixed the brand new single by Irish band Boyzone which is released today. The single is titled "All That I Need" and comes as a two part CD Single set. The TE Mix is featured on the "foldout" edition. The track will almost definetly go to Top 5 in the charts, if not Number 1.
11 April 1998: More news about upcoming TE Re-mixes! They have re-mixed "Naked In The Rain '98" by Blue Pearl. Yes, that classic dance track has been re-mixed and should be getting a commercial release soon. If you can't wait, then we've been told it's around as a pre-release on Volume 20 of CD POOL CLUB BEATS (available to DJ's only). Also, there's rumours that Masun will soon be releasing "Wide Open Space" as a commercial single, and hopefully this will include The Trouser Enthusiasts Mixes! Finger's x'd!
5 April 1998: There are rumours that the TE's have re-mixed the forthcoming singles by Boyzone and Gloria Estefan. According to Billboard Online, Gloria Estefan's "Don't Let Go" will feature TE Mixes! Watch out for them.
4 April 1998: During an on-line chat at www.totp.beeb.com with Bob of Saint Etienne, someone dared asked the TE question we all wanted to know, "WHO ARE THEY"? He told us the name of the main man behind the TE's - and we think we know the name of his partner - so you can find the answer to this question in a new Who Are The Trouser Enthusiasts? Section. It also includes other names we think they've recorded under!
30 March 1998: Loveclub's "The Journey" added to the discography. The Single is just about still available in the UK, so order a copy via your record store soon if you haven't got this one yet! It was released around May/June time in 1997 and contains 2 TE Mixes!
8 March 1998: New Wanted Section added to this page detailing wanted TE tracks!
7 March 1998: We've managed to get our hands on promo copy of "14 Hours To Save The Earth" by "Tomski". We believe that this will be released as a single on 9th March 1998.
4 March 1998: The TE's currently have another promo single out right now. Released on Xtravaganza Records (the same label as Armin) the TE's have remixed the brand new track by "Tomski" called "14 Hours To Save The Earth". More news on a release date as and when we get it!
2 March 1998: The TE's have re-mixed the soon to be re-released track by "Alabama 3" which is called "Ain't Goin' To Goa". There are 2 sets of promo's out right now, one of which features both Trouser Enthusiasts and Motiv8 mixes.
25 February 1998: The brand new single by Dannii is titled "Disremembrance". The track is featured on her album "Girl" - apparently the TE's had input in writing/producing the version of this excellent anthem that features on her album - so go get a copy if you can't wait for the single release - currently scheduled for 16 March 1998.
24 February 1998: The Trouser Enthusiasts have re-mixed the brand new forthcoming single by "Sunscreem". The single will feature 3 TE mixes - no news as yet of a release date!
23 February 1998: Out apologies - we'd overlooked a release that featured a TE mix on 2 February. United Citizen Federation (featuring Sarah Brightman) released "Starship Troopers" which features The Trouser Enthusiasts' Iris Unguicularis Mix!
2 February 1998: This week you can get a double dose of The Trouser Enthusiasts! Two Singles were released in the UK today that feature TE Remixes! The first is called "Alane" and is by "Wes" - it's a cross between Deep Forest and Dario G's "Sunchyme". There is one TE mix on the CD Single. The second release this week is by "Armin" and is titled "Blue Fear". An Instrumental track, the main edit is by the TE's and the CD Single features 2 other TE mixes.
1 February 1998: "Sylvie" by Saint Etienne has entered the Official UK Singles Chart at number 12. The Single features 2 Trouser Enthusiasts Remixes
28 January 1998: In the current issue of Music Week, they reported that the new single by "Wes" has been remixed by the Trouser Enthusiasts. The report went on to say that this mix was the best Re-Mix the TE's have ever done! The single is already being played on cable TV channel "The Box" and receiving airplay on Choice FM (Birmingham) and Galaxy 101 (Severn Estuary). It's been a huge hit in Europe - watch out for it soon!
27 January 1998: We've received an e-mail from Paul & Lisa of Clubcow (a radio show in Melbourne, Australia) to say that they think the Trouser Enthusiasts are Matt Darey and Red Jerry because the TE mix of Kylie's "Did It Again" sounds identical to tracks by Darey and Red Jerry called "My Soul" and "Gamemaster". They've done the tracks under the name Lost Tribe. If anyone can confirm if these 2 are behind the TE's, then please E-Mail us.
26 January 1998: "Sylvie" by Saint Etienne has been released in the UK today. The Mix CD (purple coloured cover) features 2 mixes by the Trouser Enthusiasts. The edit (Trouser Enthusiasts' Tintinnabulation Edit) is the version that's being played on the radio and is enabling people who wouldn't normally hear their work the chance to do so.
19 January 1998: The UK release of "Sylvie" by Saint Etienne has been put back one week to 26th January 1998.
7 January 1998: The new single by Saint Etienne is called "Sylvie" and includes mixes by The Trouser Enthusiasts! It is set for release on 19th January 1998.
22 December 1997: The Trouser Enthusiasts have re-mixed the forthcoming single by Saint Etienne. The single is set for UK release in early 1998. Look out for it in the shops!
