The track was a huge hit and stayed in the chart for an enormous number of weeks - most probably due to the fact that it was easy to dance to, and easy to sing along to. In 1998 their followup was the equally Pop Sounding "Last Thing On My Mind" which sounded very much like Abba. Of course it was always going to be difficult to match the success of "5,6,7,8" but the single did well in the UK Charts. After the thrid single "One For Sorrow", they released their debut album, "Step One" - a fantastic mix of pop songs and slow ballads.
